Focus Open 2019 in Silver for Roxxane R Evolution produced by Nimbus Group GmbH
The new member of the Roxxane luminaire family was specially developed for domestic settings – and features forms that are distinctly different to those of its siblings. The lamp head and base, for instance, are no longer rectangular but round, and the principle of arranging the LEDs in the illuminated panel itself has been replaced by directing the light from the side of the head into a deep-drawn diffuser. That results in soft, glare-free light with a maximum output of 800 lumens that can be dimmed via a gesture sensor. In addition, the colour of the light can be adjusted from cool to warm.

A very sound table lamp that combines a good light output with a compelling design. The tried-and-tested hinge solutions promise durability and a high degree of practical value. Because the colour of the light can be tuned directly on the lamp, the luminaire can adjust to a wide range of different situations in the home.

The compact wall luminaire Winglet CL can be used to create sophisticated room and atmospheric lighting in any conceivable location without the need for intensive planning and installation. The design of this LED luminaire was inspired by the vision of creating cableless light that does not rely on power outlets. The Winglet CL now opens up further uses in the home: it creates pleasant room and atmospheric lighting while offering the user the freedom to use the luminaire in unusual places.

New products for Nimbus at the Light & Building 2016
It's that time of year again. The world's largest fair in the field of lighting and building technology is taking place until 18.03.2016 in Frankfurt am Main.
Once again, Nimbus is playing a pioneering role by linking highly efficient LED technology with advanced batteries to initiate a development that enables us to use light sources in brand new ways. In future, luminaires will no longer be restricted by the dictates of the power cord supplying them with electricity from the mains: the future is cordless. Symposium Future Light / Vitra Design Museum
On the occasion of the exhibition „LIGHTOPIA“ at the VDM, Rupert Kopp was invited to join the symposium.
The symposium was attend from the Merck Group, global market leader in developing and production of Liquid Crystals and Oleds
Meanwhile, the next generation of lighting sources is currently being developed in research laboratories around the world: so-called OLEDs (organic light emitting diodes) can generate light from purely organic compounds. This technology will open up new opportunities in technology and application. In close cooperation with market leaders, Merck is a reliable partner in the development of innovative materials for the future technologies of LEDs and OLEDs.
There were 2 workshops with following topics:
1. General scenarios for the usage of light and its potential implications in design. Characteristics of OLED light and possible physiological and psychological implications beyond the scope of technical parameters space (i.e. energy efficiency).
2. Which opportunities do OLED technologies offer in the field of design and architecture and what trends can be set by OLED lamps?
