Description of the product ponydesign:pony, in its edition with compact fluorescent tubes, has been developed as additional lighting for office-like environments. In addition to being affordable at a reasonable price, pony also works economical. Its light weight in combination with its compact measurements ensure rapid and unproblematic integration into any given office, while its distinguished shape fits perfectly smooth into every architectural environment.Unambiguously, pony’s unique form determines its future location in a room. The luminaire’s form pre-describes the room it is supposed to illuminate. Combined with each other, room and light, grow more spa-tious.A central presence is found in the middle column connecting the static foot with its luminous head. The angular, squarecut pro-file has been generously rounded off on the inside edge and the one lying opposite. An area of 20cm on the resulting curve has been equipped with a touchtronik system in an ergonomically advantageous hight. It is reaching for the luminaire itself that flicks the switch, and resting on it that does the dimming – no external switch involved here. Both sensory control panels are connected. Thus one flicks the switch by touching either of the two, or by simultaneously touching both of them in a grasp. The column’s radius is present throughout the desing of the whole luminaire.By consistently applying the radius to the edges of head and foot respectively, an interesting offset is created wherethe column is joined together with head and foot. This causes the glareshield of both extremities of the luminaire to run through. When switched on, this bridge, due to the emittance of light, creates a formal unity of the luminous areas.Technicals:the luminaire is made of aluminium and has been anodised. For special treatments the metal pieces are powder coated. In its basic edition the luminaire is equipped with one economic compact fluorescent tube. The 24w tube – depending on the glareshield – emits its light directly onto the workplace and indirectly into the room.Equipped with a head reflector the luminaire can only be produced as a direct light radiator. The cable is inserted into a low lying plug on the downside of the column, as is custom in the field of computers.A second plug in this same area is designed for a cable that connects several ponys within one electric circuit. The foot offers space for optional inclusion of plugs on the upside.
